Here are some review and testimonial given to Doctor Looi Kok Poh from his patients.

Testimonial by Mr Oliver Hall
“I suffered a serious hand injury while playing sport and was admitted to the emergency room at gleneagles hospital. The nature and severity of the injury led to Dr Looi Kok Poh to be called to assess the injury and carry out emergency surgery. The surgery was a success and the post operative care was exceptional.

As a sportsman in my formative years and now working in the sport industry, I have both suffered and seen many injuries. The specific care and rehabilitative understanding that a sportsman/woman requires is particularly important. In my opinion, Dr Looi KP is a highly skilled and diligent surgeon who I would not hesitate to use again and recommend to others.

If you wish to discuss my experience with Doctor Looi Kok Poh then please do not hesitate to contact me”

Testimonial by Mrs. Hetty Vosselman

“End of March 2008 I had an accident with a glass bathroom screen. I had an arterial bleeding and lots of cuts on my left arm and wrist. I went to the Emergency Room of Changi Hospital where they treated my wounds and I left with a cast and a thumb that was numb.

The next day I went to my General Practioner who sent me to Dr Looi Kok Poh. Dr Looi KP made time for me immediately and the same day I was in the hands of a very good hand surgeon. Dr Looi examined my hand again and decided that he needed to operate because the tendon that moves the thumb was torn because of the glass impact. He operated on me and was very careful. When he realised that he needed to take a piece of tendon to transplant from my underarm, he first asked my husband permission and let him sign the necessary documents before he went on with the operation.

I went to the clinic for 2 times a week for a check up on the wound and the healing process, this lasted about 6 weeks. I was very happy that the feeling in my thumb returned, because as a goldsmith it is very important to use my hands.

For me Dr. Looi is a very important person that I regularly met during the last few years in Gleneagles Hospital because some pieces of glass still come out of my wrist and hand. He is always there when I need him and we have a very good doctor-patient relationship. I respect him a lot and think he is an outstanding hand surgeon in Singapore.”
